Non-DRM eBooks FAQs
Greenleaf Publishing’s eBooks are DRM-free. That means they do not have any layers of security that would hinder a customer from consuming the content (no passwords, no restrictions on where you view it, no restrictions on printing or copying text). However, this does not mean that the usual copyright laws do not apply. As a condition of purchase, you must abide by the copyright terms as set out in our Terms & Conditions .
What devices can I use to read my eBook?
On your PC or Mac, PDFs can be read by Adobe Reader, Adobe Digital Editions, and Apple Preview, among others. Your ePub eBook can be read by Adobe Digital Editions, among others.
Mobile/hand-held devices: this is a fast-changing market but the majority support both PDF and ePub formats. Consult the relevant documentation.
Which format should I choose?
Some titles are available in either format, and at the same price. As a very brief guide: PDFs present a “snapshot” of the printed page. You get all the formatting, high-quality graphics and design of the original hard-copy publication. However, on smaller screens, you may need to scroll around the page to read the text. The benefit of ePub files is that they are a dedicated eBook format: they reflow to fit the window you’re viewing (like a web page), and you can resize the text as required. Both formats have the advantage of internal and external hot links in the text (e.g. cross-references and web links); but our ePub files are especially rich in this regard. As a general rule we suggest PDFs for your Mac/PC and ePub, when available, for your hand-held/mobile.
How soon after purchase will my eBook be available?
As soon as your order has been confirmed, you will be able to download your eBook.
Where do I download my eBook?
Go to “My account” where you will see your download area. Use the “download” link. You must be logged in to go to “My account”.
How long will my eBook be available on my account page?
The eBook is available to download as many times as you need for 7 days after purchase.
What are the eBook restrictions?
You can make copies for your own personal use on an unlimited number of devices. You may not give your eBook to other people or put the files on servers where others can read or access this content. You may not edit the eBook files, but you may view or print them for personal use as you see fit. See our Terms & Conditions
